Lost, Found & Adoptable Pets

Ideas for what to do if your pet is missing, and places to contact when you lose or find a pet.

Ways to Prevent Your Pet From Getting Lost

  • Keep your pet's Rabies tag and license current — they can be "tickets home" if your pet gets away.
  • Ensure your pet has proper identification, including a collar with an ID tag.
  • Keep your pet on a leash or in a secure, fenced area when outdoors.
  • Consider microchipping for permanent identification.

  2. Contact local animal shelters and veterinary clinics.
